MOBIO ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Mobio mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Phone number (used for WhatsApp OTP authentication), display name, and profile preferences.
• Location Data: With your permission, we use nearby location snapshots to help users discover drivers or passengers who choose to be visible. Mobio does not store live route history.
• Scheduled Trip Post Data: Origin and destination labels, optional coordinates, departure time, vehicle type, and notes for posts you create.
• Communication and Safety Data: In-app chat messages, WhatsApp handoff details you provide, reports, and blocks.
• Device Information: Device model, OS version, app version, and diagnostic data for crash reporting and performance monitoring.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate your identity and maintain your account.
• To help users discover nearby drivers or passengers.
• To publish, edit, cancel, and view scheduled trip posts.
• To support in-app chat, WhatsApp handoff, reports, blocks, and account notifications.
• To improve app performance and fix issues.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored using Supabase infrastructure with access controls and row-level security policies where applicable. All communication between the app and our servers uses TLS encryption. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

• Supabase: Backend infrastructure and authentication.
• Google Maps Platform: Maps and location lookup features where enabled.
• Firebase: Crash reporting, diagnostics, and push notification services where enabled.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access, update, or delete your personal data at any time.
• Revoke camera or location permissions through your device settings.
• Request a copy of all data we hold about you.
• Delete your account through the public instructions at Account Deletion.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed for safety, audit, legal, and abuse-prevention purposes. Scheduled trip posts and location visibility data should be cleaned up when no longer needed. You may request account deletion and data erasure at any time.

7. Product Scope

Mobio supports nearby discovery, scheduled trip posts, profiles, chat, WhatsApp handoff, reports, blocks, and basic notifications. Mobio does not provide automatic fare quotes, taxi dispatch, live route tracking, in-app trip payment processing, payment settlement, refunds, or driver earnings ledgers.

8. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by updating the "Last updated" date above.
